County Ventura St. Patrick's Day Parade

County Ventura St. Patrick’s Day Parade is brought to you by the Ventura Downtown Lions Club. Since 1984, the parade has been a showcase of Ventura County’s finest. It features amazing costumes, dancers, horses, high school bands and more.
The parade is always held the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) at 10 a.m., so mark your calendar, and get ready for one of Ventura’s most endearing traditions. The Parade route is on Main Street in Downtown Ventura, starting at Lincoln Drive and continuing to Fir Street.

Show-Me You’re Irish
This year’s theme, ‘Show-Me You’re Irish,’ invites parade participants to embrace their Irish spirit by donning their green, decorating their floats, and proudly showcasing their Irish pride!
Grand Marshal
Bill Kearney, Philanthropist
Bill had a distinguished 43-year career at Merrill Lynch, where he earned the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004. After retiring, he focused on managing a family farming business and has remained deeply involved in the community. He has served on various non-profit boards and held leadership roles in several Ventura County organizations. Currently, he chairs the Museum of Ventura County and the Community Memorial Healthcare Board. Bill was named Citizen of the Year by the Ventura Chamber of Commerce and has received multiple service honors. His proudest achievement came in 2015 when he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Cal State University, Channel Islands.

The Parade route is on Main Street in Midtown from Lincoln Street to Fir Street (passing Cemetery Park).
Parking
There is no public parking on the parade route. Please use public parking on adjacent streets and public parking lots Downtown.
Results
The winning entries of the 2024 County Ventura St. Patrick’s Day Parade have been announced.
Judges for the parade were Blake Kreutz representing Citizens Business Bank, Rhonda Catron, Elk’s Lodge #1430; Clint Garman representing Supervisor Matt Lavere; Celina Zacarias representing California State University at Channel Islands and James Lockwood, St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee.
With 66 entries, the parade was presented by Ventura Elk’s #1430 . The 2024 parade theme was “Shamrocks & Shenanigans” in celebration of the Irish Spirit.
